If we are going to be forced to rethink the electoral college than we will need to rethink the composition of the Senate.

The 17th Amendment was a mistake and very much contrary to the will of the Founding Fathers. States' rights have gone by the wayside and the lemmings expect Washington to do everything for them.

TopCat,
If we are going to be forced to rethink the electoral college than we will need to rethink the composition of the Senate. Similar principles are at work.
I brought up the exact same argument to my friends who want to do away with the Electoral College.

By the way, some in the liberal media are calling for abolishing the Senate, including the beta boys at GQ:

The Case for Abolishing the Senate

I don't remember these boys calling for that when the GOP had the House and the Dems had the Senate. Do you?
