Don, a good article on BKS and AMZN:

news.com

<<Combes expects Amazon to report $50 million for its fourth quarter and a loss of 46 cents a share. The company is expected to report revenue of $288 million for full-year 1998, and a loss of $1.30 per share. Combes said the company is poised to become profitable in Q3 1999.>>

Don:
thanks for your warnings:
I am well aware of the pains in shorting hyped i-net stocks. I've been short YHOO now for 2-3 months. I LIKE IT! I am not a mazochist - just like my dessert at the end.

AMZN (like YHOO) will (in retrospect) be a great short. Waiting for earnings to come out...

BTW, the news from the previous message - are those better or worse than expected?

PS It takes a lot more morons to double a stock from 60 to 120 than from 30 to 60...
