It's in our best interest to make sure everyone who is here is counted like regular people.
You're assuming that unless we count illegal immigrants like legal citizens, they won't be considered "regular people."

Because making that distinction is oh-so-inhumane.

Like I said, there's only one reason why you are making this stupid argument, and it fits into your habit of avoiding difficult issues.
