Agree w/ you on the lentils and yellow/green peas. The Indians have been eating this for 100's of years and US consumers too lazy to cook. In fact, I only have been trying these out w/ new diet cutting out most carbs (from all processed foods).

Love my split pea soup.

It's possible we enter in a deflationary period especially when I see commodities hitting multi year lows and all time highs in the US stock market. Negative interest rates in Japan and Germany and lower rates in the US.

Huge debt ($21 Trln in US), 2.5% inflation depending what you count.

Have to eat so have been building an Ag basket of value stocks. Otherwise, no real urgency to Buy high priced stocks until we get some type of sell off. Many of those stocks I flag as value Buys, seem to get cheaper after a few weeks/months.

Still holding 18% cash reserves and it's more as market corrects.

Have a good holiday and enjoy the nice Spring weather. We just had a freak snow storm (over 6" of snow) and most of that melted already.
