— Agreed. Even if affordable, still wouldn't use subscription. When Adobe and others began using the practice, I thought it was just a scam to increase -- and prolong -- revenue from old software. Still think that.

I still use Paint Shop Pro 9 and it does what I want.

It will be a sad day when it is no longer compatible with Windows.

I have had the Photoshop subscription for several years. $10/month. It would take 5-6 years before purchase was cheaper, and I would not have gotten any updates. You already made the purchase, so I can see why you want to keep using it, but for most people starting new the subscription seems like a better deal. $10 inclueds Photoshop, Lightroom and some things I have never used. I can put on multiple machines from same subscription. I get notification of regular updates.
