5/31/2019 Contest update Biotechs along with the broader stock market tanked, as “Tariff Man’s” trade war escalated. At Friday’s close, the Contest median was up 7.78% YTD (vs. up 10.71% YTD a week earlier), the Nasdaq Biotech Index (NBI) was up 3.14% YTD (vs. up 7.60% YTD a week earlier) and the smaller-cap S&P Biotechnology Select Industry Index (SPSIBI) was up 10.14% YTD (vs. up 15.14% YTD a week earlier), while the Nasdaq Composite Index (NCI) was up 12.33% YTD (vs. up 15.10% YTD a week earlier). BULBA’s portfolio, up 71.92% YTD, got hammered, but still remained Contest leader. OHM’s portfolio, up 51.65% YTD and ANDRE’s portfolio, up 47.80% YTD, held on to second and third place. At Friday's close, 28 of the 39 Contest portfolios were in the green, while 23 were beating the NBI and 17 were beating the SPSIBI. The 167 Contest stock picks have an average YTD gain of 15.17% and a median YTD gain of 4.84%. Below is the Top Ten list.
