When Intel bought the CASE company in Europe, we all wondered why they did it because CASE was loosing money. Now the Intel news says that was a good acquisition since CASE is very strong in ASIC design. I am pretty sure that Noam and co. have good reasons to acquire Xyplex.

About a week ago, I posted that MRV should acquire a WAN company to become a complete network company.

It's all happening now. The division between LAN and WAN is getting very fuzzy. I think MRV's first step into WAN territory is to develop small WAN networks to connect campuses (or LANs) together.

Any guess on how GE may encroach into WAN territory?
