ASIA update: Markets all off last night, from about flat (Aus and Taiwan) to -5% (indonesis and S. Korea). Asian currencies also declined further -- Indonesian rupiah really tanked, to 14,500 per dollar at one point.

For anyone who cares, I am now short ASMLF, HELX, TER (hated to do it, I love the co. but it's coming down off 38), AMAT, NVLS. I'm long CYMI, EGLS, KLIC, PRIA, and SVGI. Sold AMAT and ASYT yesterday and bought ESIO and CMOS to cover. I'm looking hard at shorting COHU but am wary due to earnings strength -- I'll short if it hits 40. Oh, also went long a little VECO.

Jess & thread,

With the exchange rate hovering around 129, 80 billion yen = @ 0.62 billion dollars.

I apologoze, it appears that I have encountered a floating point error in my instrcution set. In others words, it was ready, fire, aim.

Thanks
