Hi B3,

T has accelerated their 5G buildout to include 30 cities in the U.S. this year.

I read where Motorola has a Moto model that is 5G. AAPL is due out in 2020.

I have a small semi testhandler (Cohu)that has worked with Keysight to develop a test system for 5G infrastructure and they are shipping this Q2 fiscal 2019 with a ramp that will take place in H2 2019.

So you point about 5G being alive and well in 2019 is on the money from sources I follow.

We are simply at the beginning of a huge ramp that will go on 3-5 years.

It may be delayed by trade tariff talks. blah blah blah.

Those who are doing it are spending huge money to bring it out on a "pull in" basis. imo

Bob

I don't disagree with a lot of what you wrote because some of it is very misleading. No one has apps for 5G yet because only a few companies make phones that have 5G. The UK has nothing close to true 5G.

Are you aware of any company outside of China that has true 5G phones?

The Moto Z3 promises a 5G upgrade at some point in the future. I haven't seen anything that suggests they have 5G now.

The Galaxy S10 5G says it's 5G but it's running at less than 700 MPS, far below true 5G which is 10G.

Btw, Huawei is working on 6G and says it'll take them less than 10 years to get there. I know this isn't part of the discussion but it's worth keeping an eye on that timeline.
