Strategic composure to crazed "They took our jobs" Americans is the correct response.

A couple of decades ago the USA banned or quota stopped or tariffed NZ steel. Some here whined. My argument was that if Americans didn't want to buy better cheaper steel then Made in China buildings would.

So it came to pass. No worries.

People don't understand trade deficits either. Big D thinks they are a problem. They are not. Certainly not for the creditors anyway. People holding the promissory notes are the ones with a problem. Some understandably swap such dodgy paper/pixels for gold which cannot be switched from 1 to 0 as can happen in the pixelated world by a click of a mouse.

I have run a trade deficit with the world for 65 years. That's a big problem for me, not the world. People in China hold $trillions in US$. Those are promissory notes that are being diluted flat out and will be abrogated 10:1 in the end. Or reset to Zimbabwe zero.

Yet crazed Americans think China is the problem. Americans not buying Made in China is a USA problem. China can sell to the 95% of people who are not American.

Where this is leading is to a bicameral Cyberspace brain with a 1 belt 1 road silicon corpus callosum between the two halves. The primates will be like mitochondria providing a bit of operational input, likely to be superseded by better designs.

Nature in the grand scheme of things and in the billions of years long run is an interesting place. Gold and rare earth were made from hydrogen in previous fusion reactions then conveniently cooled so that carbon could form coal, methane, diamonds, graphite, charcoal and with some hocus pocus that tricky coil of DNA which is humans discovered the other carbon forms and the hocus pocus of silicon, gallium, germanium and how electrons and photons can be tamed.

In the short run Huawei is a point of contention. And Qualcomm who enabled the drama.

Never a dull moment. Big D sure is enjoying shaking the box. He's very entertaining. Kim the Fatter calling Bidan a low IQ idiot, moderated to low IQ individual by Big D is funny.
