Not really. It came "after" Freud learned the human mind has hidden stuff in it that can be used to manipulate people. Near the end of his life he thought people were intrinsically evil.

Others picked up on his work but then WW2 came and that scared the shit of of the psychologists. Hitler used these same techniques to manipulate people into hating Jews and obviously making WW2 and the Holocaust possible. They needed a buffer or people who'd stop that from happening in the US but that's another part of the story and too lengthy to talk about here.

So now we have the mostly science party (climate change etc.) up against the party run by ads. Needless to say both parties do a little of each of the gop does nearly 100% ads. That's why I say "there's no crime too big for republicans." They can't tell the difference between right and wrong. They only hear the ad.

I wonder, when a conservative heard "repeal and replace" did he know it was an ad or did he believe it? I think he's completely clueless because once he hears the ad, he never asked to see the plan and of course doesn't care there was no plan or that one was never passed.

It's like talking to a dog and wondering if they understand.
