Durk I. Jager, President & COO of P&G Elected to Kodak's Board of
Directors

ROCHESTER, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 22, 1998--Durk I. Jager, president and chief operating officer of The
Procter & Gamble Company, has been elected to the board of directors of Eastman Kodak Company, effective
immediately.

''Durk Jager is one of the most respected and accomplished international business leaders with in-depth knowledge of
global markets for consumer products,'' said George Fisher, Kodak Chairman and CEO. ''He brings to Kodak's board
strong expertise in consumer brands and the invaluable insights gained by spending many years working in Asia, Europe,
and the United States.''

Jager was named to the new position of president and chief operating officer of P&G in July, 1995. Prior to that, he
was executive vice president with overall responsibilities for the company's U.S. business.

A native of Haskerland, The Netherlands, Jager graduated from Erasmus Universiteit, Rotterdam in 1970. He joined
P&G in 1970, working in a variety of marketing and management capacities in Europe. In 1985, he was named general
manager of P&G in Japan, where he led the turnaround of the company's business there, reversing declining sales and
losses to build a profitable business.

In 1988, he was named group vice president with responsibility for the company's Far East and Asia Pacific Divisions.
In 1989, he was elected to the company's board of directors.

Jager is a member of the Board of Directors of the United Negro College Fund and the Board of Governors of The
Nature Conservancy. He is chairman of the Japan-American Society of Greater Cincinnati, and a member of the
Cincinnati Council on World Affairs and the International Council, and an advisory board to J.P. Morgan & Co., Inc.
