What you wrote is an illusion.

The rich didn't want free high school because only they could afford it. Then when we had free high school, they were the only ones who could go to college so they were happy. The children of rich people need a leg up over the rest of us to stay rich and that's what it's really about.

Instead of all the grants and other nonsense, simply make it free and the problem goes away but the rich won't let that happen and be honest, if you were one of them you wouldn't want your child competing fairly with the rest of us. They need help.

Did you see the interview with Kushner the other day? OMG, the man is a complete idiot. I can see why the rich are afraid of us.
