Now we know why the market went up....the Fed signaled it was going to lower rates and now we know why. They see a recession coming and they'll try and stop it by lowering rates. The real question here is with what? Rates are far too low to stop a recession (there's not enough to cut) and corporate America is sitting on $10 trillion of debt. Once a recession hits the Fed can't do squat. Then there's government debt, which is rising by a trillion a year (again, creating the illusion of growth when there is none).

Oh well, survival of the fittest and we'll see how many fit CEOs we have. My guess is it'll be very, very few. They had to starve their workers and beg the government for money (debt from tax cuts) to create the illusion of growth.
