Geology and Geological history really is fascinating. My college geology professor, John Moss, specialized in mapping changes in various glaciers when I knew him in the 60s. A dollar/year man who donated his entire teaching salary to charity. Made a fortune as an oil & gas geologist in the 40 & 50s and bought this beautiful little farm outside of Lancaster. Pa. Inspiring guy for sure. Came within inches of majoring in Geology. If I'd been any good in Chemistry (like you) wouldn't have hesitated. Have to laugh though. Even that career path could well have "landed me" (pun intended) doing exactly what I've been doing here the last 10 yrs.
