Dan,

Them's fighting words! Let's not be so pessimisitic. An "earning surprise" implies you have an earnings estimate. I'd like to hear some earnings estimates. I posted one a long time ago. Here it is again. After all is said and done, NRI's loss for the fourth quarter will shrink to $.05 per share. Their '97 loss will be around $.25/share compared to the revised '96 loss of $.31/share. I don't think that will significantly effect the price of the stock. But I will say somthing. There's a significant number of shares changing hands for a penny stock and someone is definately setting a price floor on this issue.

I do believe that Mr. G's comments are promissing. The release of that information along with the consistent high volume should push the price back up towards a $1 per share somewhere in the next 2 months. I know, I know...I'll get a flood of comments about that one.

And in response to your comments about NRI's marketing practices, I think they're right on top of the ball. Keep concentrating on those niche markets for another year while the price of the scanners is too high for anyone else. It'll be a year before we anyone shipping cheap fingerprint scanners.
