Now that's what I call a good case of talking your book.

OK if you say so.

Cept you don't mind if I disagree.

I do not agree on all the calls about abuse by China.. it is simply a case of the shoe being on the other foot.. things will get fairer globally because more countries have power.. US needs to adapt..

Provocative post ....response got longer/more tangential than I anticipated but it's an important tangent <g>

Agree about the "Trump Doctrine" in foreign policy and his aversion to military involvement. We've had warmongers the last 24 years and they call him the bully...go figure.

China stole nothing..

Did not say China stole .... but it's a fact they took huge advantage of the US in trade due to feckless/corrupt leadership. At a big cost to our middle class workers.

what they suffered under the Brits and later US

Bashing the US is fashionable, but every once in awhile it's important to look at the big picture lest we forget. Many American citizens don't have a good grasp of what is/was at stake, so it's not surprising to see a foreigner miss it.

There's no comparison between the US and the Brits in terms of imperialism, empire building and ruling/persecuting other peoples. Our country was founded by the colonies revolting against the British rule.

We may have lost our way some here and there but liberty has always been the foundation...the magnet for the waves of migration through the centuries. The essence of this country's greatness has always been the freedom loving people and their way of life.

The land, wealth and resources are ancillary - but the uniqueness of USA is that it's been the longest lasting experiment of free people governing themselves.

We were at risk of losing that identity to leftist tyranny modeled on the EU but dodged a bullet in 2016.

That's what Trump means by making America great again.

The libs would never understand it or refuse to understand it because it's an explicit rejection of Progressivism and its inevitable outcome - the loss of our inalienable rights.

China stole nothing

Tell that to Cisco, Nortel and about a few hundred other tech companies... or did I misinterpret you?
