slavery.. eradication of first nations.. interference in the sovereign rights of other nations, complicity in the maintaining of the subjugation of China ?Need I go on ?

The answer to your question is definitely not. We all get where you are coming from.

Tell me this. Do you know what this is? That's a lot of bull and I don't have time to debate your twisted views of my great country. So we will agree to disagree.

Not true ?

Nope.

Already explained the difference between the Brits and USA.

As for becoming great on the backs of others, America was born great. The pilgrims courage to cross the Ocean from Delfs-Haven to the desolate wilderness can’t be underestimated.

But America’s true greatness resides in the genius of the founding fathers. The system of a free self-governing people unchained from tyranny is so robust it has survived the evils of slavery and great wars. And it will survive the globalists and their minions in halls of politics and bureaucracy. Not a coincidence that Barr (the founders will approve) equates his battle to D-Day.

If that point is not acknowledged the discussion is futile. Attacks on this country and what it represents are waged by many powerful forces - the media, the dark left, EU globalists but are easy to counter. Trump is hated and demonized by that entire establishment because he’s the first legit torch-bearer of the Republic in DC in decades. It might take awhile for most to recognize his greatness but by the time he’s done a supermajority of the American political spectrum (I.e even a big chunk of Kennedy Democrats and, heck, even Roosevelt Democrats) will be in his camp. Therein lies the reason for the democrats desperate battle for illegals - they have lost the support of most of those already here.

And all the phobias attributed to those who cherish the Republic and what it stands for can be traced to the threats posed to this precious system. Support of big government, Socialism, undermining bill of rights, Sharia law etc.

Why are you so concerned about centuries past?

Each generation of Americans takes the reins of our
country, as those before us left them to us. Then we
try to make America better, or as this Pres. says,
make America great, again.

Dwelling on past problems, many of which were
controversial at our founding, e.g. slavery, which was
resolved by the bloodiest war in our history, diminishes
the greatness of our Founding Fathers and documents.
Our Founders and documents specify the methods that
reasonable people shall use to right wrongs and improve
upon America, as becomes necessary. Our Laws are not
illegitimate or intransigent, but made to make basic
changes difficult and truly supported by the People,
not just liberals or conservatives with a wish list.

The risks to our Pilgrims were just as great as the risks
to native "nations". Sadly the introduction of Euro
diseases decimated the natives, but the Pilgrims might
just as well suffered from diseases of the natives.
In fact, the natives gifted us tobacco, which has plagued
Euros for 500yrs with lung cancer, killing millions.
Not to mention the introduction of syphilis, another killer,
to the Euro population.

Every interaction of cultures is a 2 way street, both
good and bad.

Today's Socialist Dems do not desire to improve upon
the America, but condemn America because it isn't perfect
in their limited vision, and want to discard what has worked
for 2.5 centuries.

These Leftists will have a fight on their hands, should
they continue to disrespect our Founders, our Constitution,
our history, and continue to seek to subvert and overthrow
America with their ignorant crusades for some Utopian dream.

The Left screwed up healthcare for 100M Americans,
just to put 10M more on charity Medicaid. This was not an
American solution, but a Socialist takeover of American
medicine.
The American Left has shown, many times, that it
can't implement their "improvements" to America without
infringing on the Freedoms and Rights we already have.

The recent Russian Collusion/Spygate is indicative of
the depths to which the American Left will stoop to gain
power and overthrow America. We cannot let this
subversive coup go without consequences.

What in the heck is "complicity in the subjugation of China"?
Get a grip on reality, please. We could have let Japan own China.

Interference in the sovreign rights of other nations?
The US was thrust into world power by helping losers in
Europe from being overrun by German fascists, twice.
We did not seek to lead or rule the world, but now
those losers in the EU want to rule us thru Globalist gov't,
a burden on American freedoms that we'll never bear.

You imply that America doesn't understand history
and is short-sighted. To the contrary, pompous lectures
on any issue are unwelcome.
