Might I suggest "We have only 12 years to get CO2 emissions 45% below 2010 levels if we are going to keep the temperature increase below 1.5 degrees C"? It's not as catchy, but it's more accurate. If I can, I'll suggest it's even too late for that.

It doesn't take much from the fakenews peanut gallery to accomplish that these days. Almost 3 years of lying and whimpering and crying and whining has honed my trigger.
