Socialists make the mistake of thinking collectivism and being fair and sharing and caring works when done by governments.

The fault lies mainly in that those of us who vote think all will be done well.. (well hope so) that is that problem.. Democracy needs a lot more control mechanisms 'by the people' without ending up in the often stalemate position of the US system.. Although I certainly understand that is why the US system was so designed..

Too many do not vote.. It should be a CRIME not to vote.. PERIOD.. very few extenuating circumstances that I can envision.. like the limit of 1/x as x approaches infinity :))

When I call myself Liberal.. it is in the Libertarian sense.. Not hurting anyone/anything else.. Have at it man..

as in the one thing P Trudeau said I believe in.. The government has no business in the nation's bedroom.. (He should have quit while he was ahead LOL)

Fiscally .. I am conservative.. I do not mind taxes.. we NEED often to pool our money... and capitalism while great.. and I would not live without it.. is not always the best route for some projects.. Considering the waste in large corporations.. it is obvious that it will be worse in government.. what to do ?

The trouble with Socialism is it creates dependency. When people are dependent they are much more controllable. And there is no end in sight concerning the end goal. Every social program comes at a cost.

Governments have no money so to pay for these give aways they must increase taxes on the very people who receive the benefits. Government takes $1 , 40 % goes to administration, 20% into general revenue for various other programs and lobbyists, And the people receive the remaining 40% as a benefit . I am better of keeping my own dollar. It is only the people who cannot manage their own finances who actually gain.

Socialism is supposed to be a system where everyone is financially equal. How can that possibly be. Bernie Sanders the ideal socialist. preaching equality for all in theory. Yet new reports have revealed he himself is one of the 1% rs he rails against. But he doesn't give his fortune to the homeless.

Socialism theory is every one is equal and has everything anyone else has.
If everyone has everything , There would be no measure of difference. So there for no one would have anything. Then who would create the jobs ? There would be no incentive to do so. Then what?
