I have run a few streams back in the day, when SI was highly active and some people were highly vituperative. I found everybody could be tamed. It's like raising children. It does take some effort but it's highly rewarding and makes for a better overall scene. Elroy provides excellent information and ideas at times. ElMatador can do so too. Heck, even BS himself sometimes comes forth with good sense such as the fact that vitamin D is vital whereas Ca not so much. I say turn the whole lot loose. It's awful when "hate" speech is disallowed and "Truman Show" rulz apply with everybody so nice and unctuous and virtue signalling and boring. Some, such as those in China are at great risk of being dragged off to a gulag but many of us are sort of free to have opinions though anywhere outside the USA is now heavily circumscribed. If I remember correctly, streams were not even moderated so it took some art to get people civil. A few who I miss were banned from SI permanently. Some such as Box by River or whoever were irredeemably hideous and elimination from the human gene pool made most sense. Alex is almost there but could be perhaps brought to consciousness occasionally. His Trump Derangement Syndrome seems to have overtaken his brain entirely. One can always unban, and then eliminate them again if beyond the pale is where they need to be put. In fact, you taking over the stream stemmed from a time when El Mat became demented by me, and perhaps a bit too much ethanol, so handed the keys to the kingdom to you, paradoxically handing the realm to you and me, his nemesis. Then, in Oedipal pandemonium he went rogue. Maybe it was the Abel and Cain problem. Mqurice
