Aug. 9, 2019 8:34 AM ET|About: Arcadia Biosciences, Inc. (RKDA)|By: Douglas W. House, SA News Editor

Thinly traded nano cap Arcadia Biosciences (NASDAQ: RKDA) is up 60% premarket on robust volume in reaction to its announcement that the USDA has approved Verdeca's HB4 drought-tolerant soybeans, clearing the way for commercialization in the U.S. (the FDA signed off on HB4 two years ago).

HB4 now has regulatory approval in more than 80% of the world soybean market.

Verdeca is the joint venture between Arcadia and Bioceres Crop Solutions (NYSEMKT: BIOX).
