Joel, They are looking at the recent dip as a big motivational tool. If you want E-mail me at Eggon@aol.com so I dont get too off topic. I feel the same is true of alot of smart and well capitalized, dominant Tech companies, including QNTM. We may end up with an even stronger QNTM at the end of the day IMO.
On a projected earnings basis QNTM might look stronger, but I do feel both ORCL and QNTM will beat earnings estimates for 1998 calender. Everybody is doing the cya in analyst circles because like me they underestimated the rapid impact initially of The Asian situation. I just feel it is overdone as it relates to the Tech sector equity prices. I bought CEMEX at 50 cents on the dollar when Mexico went crazy and tendered to the company within months at Par (Bonds). Does that mean it will be a similar result? Maybe not, but I like my chances. Egg
