The poor are poorly because of their lack of Virtuous Victorian Values. In my direct up close and personal family and friends wealth ranges from poverty and welfare to great wealth.
The poor cannot be legislated into wealth , By legislating the rich out of it. To do so creates Distinctivenesses on both parties. Ending in collapse.

It has got nothing to do with IQ or opportunity and luck is irrelevant too other than in a minor way.

The choices people make determine their lives.

Of course 5% of people own vastly more than the wastrel spendthrift. The wealth gap is always going to range from zero for swarms of people to not much limit at the uppper bound.

The useless wastrel should be glad 1% of people enjoy doing amazing things like inventing Qualcomm.

Digging holes and filling them in again, and breaking windows too?

Wars are necessary to keep order. They also boost the arms industry creating employment in steel, Technology and all industries which supports arms or weaponry.

That idea has always driven me nuts. 20 megatons over a dozen USA cities might seem a good idea to you for an economic boost but I prefer trade and invention.

Wars are not necessary to keep order either. Places that don't have wars do much better than those who do. Being civilised is the best way to keep order. We get on well with neighbours and haven't thought of shooting at them or chucking bombs over the fence.

Wow ! Way out of line there " Wars are necessary to keep order." If you talk to any brave man with intelligence he will tell you his path through any day is to maintain his freedom while not oppressing any less unfortunate at the same time .

One of them may also tell you if you love anything more than freedom you will lose your freedom . When your freedom is gone so goes all the other bling you traded for it .

Much to learn yet young fellow .
