If the measure hasn't change over time, the relativity of the inequality is accurate. But in any case, denying that there is an issue and justifying the reasons (some of which I can agree with), is a futile exercise. In places where there is enough inequality or even enough perception of inequality and unfairness, the shit will hit the fan and arguing/reasoning against it is futile.

Over the years, I've heard these same arguments so many times from so many people justifying their wealth and the poverty of others. And to no avail I use to often take the opposite of the argument, but now I am like "So what? You may as well go plead with a coming hurricane....."
