Trump denied this week that such polls exist, but now a campaign source says certain internal pollsters are getting the ax. "We are winning in every single state that we've polled," Trump said in rebutting the data leak. "We're winning in Texas very big. We're winning in Ohio very big. We're winning in Florida very big." He called the leaked polls, which appeared in outlets like the New York Times and ABC News, "fake numbers. But do you know when you’re going to see that? You're going to see that on Election Day." Newly obtained portions of the internal polls show Trump trailing Joe Biden in 11 vital states, including projected double-digit losses in Wisconsin, Michigan, Florida, and Pennsylvania. The polls also show Trump lagging by 7 points in Iowa, 8 in North Carolina, 17 in Virginia, 14 in Minnesota, and 15 in Maine. Trump apparently holds just a 2-point lead over Biden in the Republican stronghold of Texas. The polling-team purge comes after Trump got angry with campaign officials and told them the numbers were wrong, CNN reports. It's unclear who's being cut, but top pollsters John McLaughlin and Tony Frabizio are reportedly staying. (Read more polls stories.)
