I can't help smiling here .....

Re "I hope you enjoy the journey to death."

This seems to imply that you are taking an alternate route, such as a journey to life. It's quite possible, I suppose, that VVV leads you and the Queen to eternal life.

I've spent a lot of time thinking about such things and even being with dying people, and people alive who act as if they wish they were dead; and some who wish others were dead.

It's an odd business, and I have concluded that we are all on the same ride. The evidence is overwhelming. :)

How we conduct ourselves and our affairs and how well we treat others is of paramount importance. I can't help feeling that Qualcomm, or the US or China or gold figures very little in all of this. That realization strikes hard when one is in a near fatal or fatal crisis, and one is alone in that crisis --- as must ultimately be the case.

Sometimes I wish it was different. And then I stop and ask myself "why?". I have no good answer.
