Deficits are almost always bad. They can't ever be paid back so this means we have to finance them in perpetuity. Whatever good comes from the deficit is outweighed by interest on the debt. The only time debt is okay is when we have World Wars or during and after an economic collapse.

Trillion dollar deficits when the economy is growing is both insane and proves capitalism no longer works in the US. It needs to be reformed.

GOP is growing by around $1 trillion a year, the same as the deficit. When we use the multiplier effect (every dollar is used more than once) our growth should be $3-$4 trillion.
