if his ss card and resident docs and his old ID show his current name he can go the 'common law' way to get an new ID, or use his social security benefits letter or if he has one his DD 214

Getting a photo ID so you can vote is easy. Unless you’re poor, black, Latino or elderly. Why would the TSA and airlines and hotels and car rental agencies want to do this to people? Are they racists?
