On the subject of oil stocks, Zack's insider trader portfolio just recommended OXY a few minutes ago. Most likely due to Hollub's and some of the other insider purchases as of late.

There are rumors floating around that XOM might be looking to buy one of the other Permian producers. Who knows if anything will happen. Maybe they are just shopping around to see what might be able to be done. If they really are going to buy one, it might explain some of the recent weakness at XOM compared to CVX and RDS.B
