FWIW, there is a reference to a "well water" sample from the Oro Grande on a page entitled "Analytical Report" contained within the WRITTEN Thomas Report (summary can be seen online at gpgi.com.

The sample contained 0.007opt Au and 0.003opt Pt. My understanding is that it's relatively easy to get these goodies out of the water.
