Thomas: If you understand that when the board met and approved the salary, in reality, it doesn't mean a full salary will be met. In the previous years, Frank has taken less then the salary due him on a year ly basis, (thats a fact). Whether it was 10k or 50k, that's not the point. If the board which met and made major decisions, (including this) thought that it would in any way harm the company in 98, it wouldn't happen. As we all know in major decision like this, there is alot of information the shareholders don't know and understand about upcoming events and news releases. For instance, the business plan for FNet was mostly complete. The WCOM deal was no doubt on paper in certain step proceedings. I can't imagine the board, with new members like Peter Thornton, and older members like Peter Buswell (not age. ggg), allowing a salary hike if they ( inside) didn't have enough information to justify this for 98. Seems logical to me...... So Thomas, when you say, "I do question a president or ceo of a firm taking that size salary on earnings not yet recognized", you have every right!, no I take that back...why be concerned " you don't own any shares....gg, but! don't you think "earnings not yet recognized" as we see it, NOW! is not what the inside know of what will take place in 98?. If Frank was given this raise on very little forward looking information? then the whole bunch of board members must me crackpots. ggg I don't think so Holmes!!!!! and Shurlock your not! ggggg Yes, it very possible the following Quarter will be VERY POSITIVE!!
