MBA, Thanks for your direct answers to questions that...

we've all been asking...

I have repaired PC boards and know how much time it takes to change a chip and test the board after the repair, not really difficult or greatly time consuming, HERE in the U.S. with good tools, equipment, facilities, etc. I don't know about V-land. The chips if they got there on the 29th of Dec. then they would have to remove the old chip, install the new, test the board, and install them at the 105 VLT's locations in 15 days.

Damage to other components can occur during the repair process no matter what precautions are taken (ESD, heat damage, etc.) Boards/Chips/CRT's/power supplies also could be DOA and even after a short operational time, fail...It's very aggravating and time consuming to repair a PC board in the shop, take it to the field location, install it and test it only to find that it's still broke.

I hope that Sharp is not only training Techs in V-land but providing adequate tools and repair components, as well...

I don't like this delay the same as every other shareholder but I'm trying to understand some of the reasons behind it.

BTW, MRBIGAIR, Carl, my son's hermit crabs have some great PR suggestions for both of your dogs...LOL LOL

Jeff

Thanks for your answers to the questions. I get the feeling that you may be between a rock and a hard place.

Let me see if I have this right "You have talked to him many times about the delays-he understood and felt bad and terrible about the delays" "He is trying to confirm some things with the folks in V-land so that his message will be more concise and we should expect this message in a few days". In all these many times that you talked to him on this subject he never mentioned to you WHAT was causing the delay just that he felt terrible about it!!

The part about "we haven't heard if the chips arrived so its hard to guess" George told us on 12/29 that they would be fixed by then, its hard to believe he hasnt heard if the chips arrived. On the subject of communications--I sent an E-Mail to Caracas last Wen. at 12:00 noon and had an answer in two hours. With faxes and E-mail things move quickly, especially when you have a partner like Sharp whos is investing $10 million in up front money for the construction, shipping and installation of the machines.

I'll be waiting!
