Trump Shoots Down Hannity's Favorite Conspiracy Theory On Pelosi, Ocasio-Cortez

Ed Mazza
HuffPostJune 20, 2019

President Donald Trump told Fox News host Sean Hannity that he’s wrong about House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.).

Hannity frequently calls Pelosi the “speaker in name only” and claims Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) is secretly the real House speaker.

“I don’t really agree with you,” Trump told him on Wednesday, adding:

I think Nancy Pelosi probably has control of it. I hear different things, but I really think she does and she knows what she’s doing and so we’ll see how it all comes out.

But Trump also complained about Pelosi and the House investigations. He said she “hands out subpoenas like they’re cookies” ? unlike the previous GOP-controlled House.

“The Democrats fight a dirtier fight,” Trump griped. “It’s too bad.”

Nobody would be allowed to treat adult prisoners like we are treating these kids. This is a national embarrassment.

A team of attorneys who recently visited the facility near El Paso told The Associated Press that three girls, ages 10 to 15, said they had been taking turns keeping watch over a sick 2-year-old boy because there was no one else to look after him.

When the lawyers saw the 2-year-old boy, he wasn’t wearing a diaper and had wet his pants, and his shirt was smeared in mucus. They said at least 15 children at the facility had the flu, and some were kept in medical quarantine. Children told lawyers that they were fed uncooked frozen food or rice and had gone weeks without bathing or a clean change of clothes at the facility in Clint, in the desert scrubland some 25 miles southeast of El Paso.
