Unisys Awarded 5-Year, $258M IDIQ Contract to Support Department of Defense
Information Processing Centers

MCLEAN, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 21, 1998--

Unisys will provide software, software maintenance support,
hardware lease and maintenance of leased hardware to
eight Department of Defense megacenters

Unisys Corp. announced Wednesday that it has been awarded a
five-year, $258 million, Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite-Quantity
(IDIQ) contract from the Department of Defense, Defense Information
Systems Agency to provide support for eight information processing
megacenters.
The megacenters support key Department of Defense functions
including logistics, personnel and finance. This is the first
program that has brought the Unisys computer systems support for the
Army, Air Force and Navy under one contract.
Under the contract, Unisys will provide software licenses,
software maintenance support, hardware leases, and maintenance of
leased hardware for up to 84 Unisys mainframe computer systems,
front-end communications processors and associated peripherals
located at eight DOD megacenters.
The eight megacenters are located in Montgomery, Ala.; Robins,
Ga.; Oklahoma City, Okla.; Ogden, Utah; San Antonio, Texas;
Jacksonville, Fla.; San Diego, Calif.; and Denver, Colo.
In addition to the megacenters, this contract supports over 200
locations in the United States, Europe and the Pacific for the Army,
Air Force, Navy, National Guard, Defense Finance and Accounting
Service, Defense Mapping Agency and NATO.

McGuirk, president, Unisys Federal Systems Division. "These
administrative systems keep our armed forces operating efficiently
and deliver information with direct value to the warfighter on the
front lines," McGuirk said.
The mainframes supported under the contract are Unisys 2200
Series and the software includes the Unisys OS 2200 operating system,
database management systems, communications support, programming
tools and system utilities.
