Yeah...i'd bet $15 by year end given the recent trend...

Someone's gunna make some $$$ later in '98 if they can get bet the BOM on a card and DVD drive down to say ~$100, then sell it for $200-250. What do ya think?

DVD decoder sales:

Hagedorns numbers say that Cube sold 170K ZiVA chips in the 3rd Q alone.

In Q 4, Creative planned to sell through 150K DVD-ROM kits.

PB/NEC planned on a sell through of 50K

Diamond need another 50K, just to get on the shelves.

In Q4, Cube did over 350K ZiVA, some went to DVD Players, but most were DVD-ROM.

Sigma is selling a few boards with that IBM chip on them. Chromatic? STB? Toshiba's chipset was sold in some durring 1997.

About 1.5M total DVD solutions sold worldwide in 1997.
