I have an order in for 14.8125. I like their prospects over the long-term. Cymer WILL follow the rest of the tech stocks like AMAT and TER etc.. It might take a few days to kick in - personal opinion. Aloha

Well written. Also, we can't hold Bob A. responsible for structural problems in Korea and Japan. BTW, Korean cap. ex. will be focused on technology upgrades in '98. This means DUV. He said capital investment will be focused on technology purchases to upgrade existing fabs. techweb.cmp.com Bob

I am beginning to buy the notion that H James is short. Don't be too sure -- he might be tall. But if he is trying to shoot down the stock, I think he needs better ammo and better aim. Though their PR may not be a work of art, the company's business execution thus far has been very strong. Besides a general fear, which has certainly depressed the stock price, I'm not seeing a lot of evidence to support further downside for the stock. On the contrary, the circumstantial evidence for continuing investment in 0.25 deployment suggests at minimum relative strength compared with other semi equipment companies and likely strength following earnings announcement. Why waste time shorting CYMI here when there are sooooo many other short candidates. I wouldn't even consider shorting CYMI here. The risk/reward does not even begin to justify it now. The "smart" ones have already covered, and the rest should cover before earnings. Although we didn't have a big day today, we shook off the 14's fast and held. IMO, the short party is over, now it's our turn. BRING ON THE EARNINGS !!!!!!!!!
