K6-233 is $185:

Yes, it is a shame that M2s have to be discounted so heavily to sell - started the trend to get rid of the first M1 and now it's hard to turn it around, especially with no tier 1 OEMs like AMD has, not even IBM.

NSM will need to do something about this in the long run to stay in this segment of the market. Perhaps they need to get the clock speed up first, customers second.

Kyle,

What would you say if NSM got the set-top contract with $45 MXi-188Mhz? However, I am not sure if the prices on this report are correctly quoted or not. If the quoted prices are correct, $45 for MXi-188Mhz would be hard for electronic appliance manufacturer not to integrate it into their home appliances.

Pricing MXi-188Mhz @$45 also demostrates that NSM is willing to get less than $20 from each MediaGX, as my license suggestion for $20, to promote it to every corner on earth. Anyway, National-Semi got Cyrix for free. :)

Another positive to look at the news is that NSM COULD bring down Cyrix processors costs much better than Cyrix could deal with IBM. The new prices said that NSM is not going to follow any prices set up by Intel or AMD. For my view of prosper, it is the way to GO!

Give people enough process power to improve their life, in return, it would make NSM the biggest winner ever.

Fuchi ... who loves Cyrix's innovations
