Of course not, there is no freedom to be heard on private networks.

Your claims are bullshit: On fairness grounds, Twitter should ban Trump for violating its rules. By not doing so, they are FAVORING Trump. Of course, if twitter wants to favor Trump; they do have the right. Twitter has the legal right to be pro-Trump and they ARE.

I thought we didn't like it when Russia meddled? But somehow you think it is ok when Google and Twitter do it?

Google and Twitter aren't foreign hostile states. Russia, Trump's master, IS.

"Twitter says it will label tweets from Trump and other leaders that break its rules"

No one is above the law.

Since they know the government will take no action to guarantee freedom of speech, they are already beginning to change their policies and algorithms to ensure that Trump is not re-elected. Twitter is going to choose which Trump tweets get reprioritized, so fewer people will see them. Google is going to directly modify their algorithm to see if they can reprioritize favorable Trump articles or give priority to article critical of Trump. These social media giants are directly meddling in election outcomes. I thought we didn't like it when Russia meddled? But somehow you think it is ok when Google and Twitter do it? The fact is that we no longer have freedom of speech. It is quite dead now, both because of social media censorship and because of the cultural marxists demanding that we are not allowed to say anything that would offend their delicate sensibilities, including voice anything conservative or they call you a nazi.

........you and FUBHO nailed it................things are going south very fast folks.........much faster than I would have thought

Mindmeld,
Since they know the government will take no action to guarantee freedom of speech, they are already beginning to change their policies and algorithms to ensure that Trump is not re-elected.

Mitt Romney was wrong. Russia isn't our greatest threat.

China is.

And it's because both our government and the social media companies are following in the same footsteps as the Chinese government. Control the media using technology. Control people's actions using surveillance, data mining, and profiling. Control public opinion using algorithms and censorship.

I'm amazed at how many people are giving approval to the kind of censorship that social media is practicing. Yes, it's legal, but no, it's not right.

Already the left is talking not in terms of how free speech can be guaranteed, but in terms of how to police speech.

"buT, buT, russiA" is the justification they use over and over again. They NEVER have to prove how Russia supposedly influenced the last election despite spending just a small percentage of the overall political spending that happened. They just say it and continue with their thought process without any consideration as to how they got to a place called censorship.

These are the same tactics that China uses to keep their citizens in line. And therefore they represent the greatest threat to our way of life.
