Trump's first Secretary of States, Rex Tillerson, told lawmakers in a closed-door interview that Trump's senior advisor and son-in-law Jared Kushner frequently cut him and former Defense Secretary James Mattis out of crucial foreign policy decisions. On one occasion, Kushner met with Mexico's chief diplomat in Washington without even telling Tillerson he was there. Tillerson also said Kushner didn't tell him and Mattis about Saudi Arabia and the UAE's blockade on Qatar. "It makes me angry," Tillerson said, "because I didn't have a say. The State Department's views were never expressed."
