Margaret, I am not a techie either. I figure that statement means that they are interested in getting information into our home and out of our home as fast as possible over the net. Intel could sell lots of chips with a new modem on it - a technology I think by Aware- that is 30 times faster than the modems now being used. Maybe you should address this question to Tony. He will have a better explanation. I have not checked into this at length yet. It's pretty technical. What I am interested in is that I get faster speed and the stockprice of the mentioned cos. go up. gg.

It has nothing to do with Web TV. We are supposed to be able to use a regular telephone line, get connected at a fast speed and can leave the cpt on all day - it will not interfere with phone calls.

Eliz, Margaret made me aware that I called you Margaret in my last post to you. gg.

I looked at that post again and your question about just the p.cs and not develop the rest re: speed. The whole idea is to get the information to us with the fastest speed possible. bits -speed at which we can get information.
