yes first Q is seasonally weak...but IMO the weakness is the guidance for 1Q given out by SQNT...believe it or not they are saying 0.10 cents as a beatable target...0.10 cents would be a disaster...I said if you dont do 0.16 cents then SQNT trades down...and its been trading down since I last spoke to SQNT early Jan

If they do 10 cents then we are looking at $1 to $1.10 fiscal and growth rates nearing what DGN gets 15ish before the slide

also by saying 10 cents people are nervous about this Q...and I am afraid that if SQNT produced good 4Q...the mkt may think the company loaded up making this Q at the expense 1Q...even so 1Q the way SQNT is guiding is weak and no great deal so money will stay away

our saving grace is if mgmt believes business is just plain awesome...like they did in 2Q release...the texture of the earnings announcement in 3Q was not all that exciting about exceeding growth projections

lets just get to 28/29 Jan and get some new info...right now we are leaking to $15 and with MSFT dire forecasts its hard to believe SQNT has bottomed

cheers

How can ASIA effect Sequent when only 6% of its reveunes come from that Geography? Any one deal Sequent does could eliminate even a 50% drop in Asia revenues ie Oxford health, Boeing etc. etc.

Surely the market "knows" something....Sun / Compaq are all reporting strong server growth....makes you wonder.
