Agreed. Something new has to come along. More govt subsidies flushed, polishing or a new coat of paint on what we have isn't going to replace the black gold coming out of the ground. And like you said, none of the current replacements are going to fly an airplane...... I always thought nukes making hydrogen to burn would be the solution to several problems, but the 10000 psi? requirement is still out there. Forget fuel cells, not much a step above batteries imho.
