I must say I am surprised you can copy and save / move Premium movies from your DVR to a hard drive or desktop, legally!.

I also had to buy a Tivo desktop software a few years ago but there are now a free versions that does the same thing. I will have to test the free version and see if there are restrictions on what can or can't be moved of DVR.

Do you have any weather related reception issues.with your disk? I remember hard rain could be a problem and snow accumulation on the disk can also be a problem
