Nonsense, Kate. The change is that illegal immigration is down, but there has been an upswing in asylum seekers. A wall doesn't help with that, either. Certainly, cutting off aid to El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras isn't going to slow the flow of asylum seekers, but increase it.

You forgot they also get an ankle GPS monitor. They don't just open a door and shoo them out.

It isn't an either/or. Right now there is little done about people who overstay their visa. There is little push to do it and it is more difficult.

What bothers me is that people who post this kind of article are actually trying to obfuscate the issue. They don't want controls on immigration.

I fit bothers you, then why do you make up things? Pointing out the hypocrisy isn't obfuscating things. Imagining that it is only done by people who don't want controls on immigration is a totally made up excuse.
