What I can't understand about the folks on this thread is why hold on to a stock that can't make any big gains.Unless most of the people bought in the 50-80 range and just wnat to hold on no matter how long ittakes to regain their losses. There are far to many other stocks the preform much better.

Tim,

From my perspective, I have more visibility into ASND than any other stock. Given what I perceive is possible with this company, and given that I am somewhat risk averse, I would rather stay with ASND and take the very real potential for a rise to 40 (even if not until July or even year-end) than move to another stock about which I know nothing. After all, 40 is a 33% increase from the current stock price of about 30. That is not bad, and it seems quite doable to me given the vast amount of information I now have about this company. Furthermore, this totally discounts any upside beyond 40, as it totally discounts any takeover.

In contrast, I could dump ASND in favor of some other company about which, at this juncture, I essentially know nothing. I'm not interested in doing that, even if that other "sure play" is predicted to rise 100%. It just isn't a sure play to me because I don't know enough about it (I played the "sure play" game last year and lost, and I won't do it again).

Tim,
I own both asnd and xlnx, which have certainly been dogs of late, not because of what the companies did in the last year but because both companies should be growing at close to 40% annual growth by dec qtr this year. I value much of what you contribute and you have kept me from losing money trying to be a trader which I certainly am not.

I've noticed that the "hahahahahahahahahahahaha" line almost always announces a fixated simpleton. Sometimes you don't sound like a fixated simpleton. Why not just say what you think and leave it at that?

Tim:

Examples/suggestions are welcome! (Have you looked at ELNK lately?! I bought it at $18.75, sold it at $25.75, bought it back at $33 sold it again at $36. All in just 2 months! And currently the stock is at $37 and only sky seems to be the limit by looking at the volume)! Too bad I no longer have the guts to buy it again because I think it is way overvalued (eventhough fundamentally the company has a great outlook)!

Tim,

Interesting comment. I see a problem. How does one know for sure a stock will out perform ASND? The visibilty of ASND is excellent at present.
