Dan: I have aggregated transactions for report on Schedule D.I trade
a lot of stocks, and roll a lot of options. I do combine for my own
reporting. I have never done for a client, as a client's data is
received in individual transaction format, or someone in my office prepares the report, and it's easier to review if it in
detail format.

To answer your question; yes-some combining can be done if the
purpose is to make the reporting more realistic.(IMHO)
