You can do so much on these things, I installed an app from my bank, and I am using it for purchases, had to install a password for it to install on the phone, use the voice recorder and my Gmail account.

The fingerprint scanner works great on my phone for Bank of America (except after 1+hr in the pool...fingerprints won't scan).

Lots to learn, I have been going back to the store getting help with the settings, but they are now starting to get easier to figure out. Got to get SI setup on it. Trying to install FireFox with no luck.

Download the Android Firefox ap from Google store. I access SI via Firefox and it works great. Remembers my ID and password. The cellphone ap will also import your Firefox bookmarks and sync settings from your desktop/laptop after you put in the Sync info. You won't have to copy or insert anything.

Here you can use the phone for bus/train schedules, airline boarding passes and store purchases with the Samsung Pay. (similar to Apple Pay) In Europe, they actually buy their bus and train tickets and then the scanners on the bus scan the bar code on their phones. No more paper tickets to lose or crush.

I should have got into these phones years ago.

The final selling point for me was the texting aps. I hate voice phone calls. I despise making them and I despise getting them. Too intrusive and they last much too long...and I often say things I never should have said.

When I saw texting accomplishing the same results with 1% of the words and in 1% of the time, I was sold 100%. Then I found out that I could edit or delete before sending, and I was 200% sold and kept more friends!

As I said previously, the phone was worth it's weight in gold in foreign cities for taxis, trams/bus schedules and minor translations.

Just a word of caution about doing banking or storing and accessing sites with your sensitive personal data on them for anyone using an Android phone.

The Google Play store has been compromised numerous times by malware in the past few years, and at last estimate I could find, over 99% of all smartphone malware is made for Android. That's because Google does not have humans vetting the code in apps submitted to its store, it relies on software to do the job instead. Malware apps have been downloaded hundreds of thousands of times before being discovered in the past.

I'm sure a search for "google play malware" in your favorite search engine will turn up the stories.

Apple has humans examine the code for its iOS apps before they can be released onto the App Store. It has also been compromised once or twice in the past, but the scope was more limited.
