What gives? Which one of you rascals is buyin' all the stock? Any idea what is happening? It's probably all the NBC exec's runnin' out to buy the stock 'cause they've changed their minds about Sunday, they just haven't told us yet.(gg) I hope this becomes a trend. I feel myself stiffing up again, Colby

Sonki,back on www.Re"should you buy VVUS?".Unfortunately Sonki I got out of the bus of advising people what to do with the stock market, GG. I found coincidentally out that I sleep better at night that way, gg. I don't even have a broker's license, imagine that! So after having trashed whatever little was left of my reputation,.... ghgh... throat clearing , all I can tell you is what I have done,[ adding that I may be completely wrong, and in Chapter11,sooner than you can blink ]. I added some more VVUS today to my large 10.5 position because I think that -a)it is oversold; Institutions alsosold because of year end tax losses and/or panic (money managers are human too gg ). -However I think that they have been stealthily buying back last month; I can't prove it, but it's my suspicion: a steady accummulation; they tried not to upset the price and make it go up.they knew thwy had time because of the upcoming ( now pasr) eps shortfall last thurs . -b)fundies are good; solid medical info behind stock. Even Padma-Nathan, if you actually READ CAREFULLY the now famous Barrons article of 2/24/97 (which I posted earlier today #4857), ACTUALLY SAYS that the drug DOES WORK in 50% of cases!!! EXACTLY what he reported in the NEJM!!!! It is amazing people didn't read that!! All he added is that it was not as RIGID as he (and all of us )would have liked, not as rigid as the needle; we ALL ALREADY KNEW that. NEJM SAID that, "it was a ~4 erection, not as rigid as a 5-needle, but good enough for successfull intercourse. (which I posted earlier today -c)last week an institution was buying I thought per my brokers observations ( & Payne Weber today,Charles O.,today speculated ) that they might have been Vivus buying back shares.Whatever, somebody appears to be supporting stock. -NBC story alone today appears not to be completely the answer. -Vivus appears to be behaving well: market down, VVUS up. -Bollinger bands tightening, ( gg whatever that means; juuust kidding guys; I AM learning TA and CAN tell a Bollinger now from my backyard swing). -Volume is down last 2-4 weeks and appears to have formed base. -the worse ( EPS shortfall appears to be over -only pos events appear in horizon, from AD campaign, to new factories approval, rising prescription refills. -Stocks are bought by Institutions 3-6 months usually before they truly go up, this is the time for VVUS -nothing else to invest in, re Asia, softening US market etc ( at least for me). -I am out of all stocks again, except VVUS and NN. -there is a misperception about the ED market and drugs by the public which when it will be corrected will skyrocket VVUS (IMHO ONLY, just a WILD G U E S S !!! I could be 100% wrong !!!! Watch out !!! CONSIDER NOT buying VVUS ). Some evidence of that is Yahoo eps 99 of +/- $2.85 A giant amount. What if that timetable gets moved up? -I suspect current buyers will be long term holders of Vivus much less likely to sell than previous momentum plaeyers. Good luck on your decision. ( again I don't want to influence your position. Read the other Vivus thread " why the slide and hear their side of the story, " why NOT to buy Vivus ", before buying.). You are well aware that this is very volatile stock and you need lots of Dramamine to fly it. TA (typed/not corrected/not reread.).
