This would be Iridium (a piece of which is public and trades as IRIDF). Yes, it and Globalstar (GSTRF) target very different markets from ORBCOMM. However, the Ellipso system, in which ORBI is also involved, would compete pretty much directly with GSTRF and IRIDF. Many think the markets for those services are huge and it will be a while for pricing pressures and "real" competition to ensue, but no one knows for sure. GSTRF, by the way, is scheduled to do the first launch for its constellation on February 5-th; it may affect trading of other satellite-related stocks.
